In this exclusive masterclass, you'll explore the art of natural perfumery:

Learn the difference between natural and synthetic ingredients

Guided by our internationally trained perfumer, you'll experiment with aromatic materials from various fragrance families and ultimately craft your own bespoke perfume in an elegant bottle.

What’s included

- Each customer will receive a 10 ml bottle of finished perfume, complete with a custom label to take home.
- Upgrades to 15ml, 20ml, 30ml or 50ml bottles are available upon request by covering the additional raw material costs for creating a larger bottle.

Natural Perfumery Class

2-3 hour-long session - $175 per personBased on Slow Scent(r) method developed by Mandy Aftel.
- Each participant will make an 8ml bottle of oil-based perfume and Mandy Aftel's best-selling book Essence and Alchemy to take home.

With over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience, my career took a transformative turn in 2018 when I ventured into the world of skincare product development. This path ignited a deep admiration for the art of fragrance, inspiring me to study under master perfumers JK DeLapp and Mandy Aftel. Immersing myself in their expertise revealed a profound connection to natural raw materials and the vibrant essence of pure ingredients. This discovery ultimately led me to the realm of niche perfumery and the creation of Press Gurwitz Perfumerie. Today, I craft bespoke fragrances that weave meaningful stories, offering unforgettable olfactory journeys. Do I need perfumery experience for the masterclass?

No experience is required. The masterclass suits both beginners and those familiar with perfumery basics. Our experts will guide you, making it easy to create your unique fragrance.

What's included in the masterclass price?

The price includes:

Perfumery theory introduction
Practical session: working with rare essences to create a custom fragrance
A 10 ml bottle of your fragrance
All necessary equipment (droppers, blotters, bottles, etc.)

Can I order more perfume after the masterclass?

Yes, you can order an additional 30ml or 50 ml bottle of your fragrance. We will keep your formula on file for future orders.

What do I need to bring to the masterclass?

All materials and tools are provided. Just bring a good mood and a desire to create!

What ingredients are used in the fragrances?

We use only high-quality natural and man-made essences, designed for perfume production. All components are safe and non-toxic for creating exclusive fragrances.

Can I make a fragrance as a gift?

Yes, you can order a fragrance as a gift. We'll help you create a unique composition and design the bottle with a personalized label or engraving.

Can I cancel or reschedule a masterclass?

Yes, you can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before the workshop. Your booking confirmation, sent via text, includes a link to do so.

How many guests can I bring to the workshop?

The workshop structure varies based on group size, age, and intention. We can accommodate up to 6 participants. For larger groups like birthdays or bachelorette parties, please contact us for a custom perfume-making workshop.

I'm shy around others. Will there be strangers?

All workshops and masterclasses are scheduled on demand and are private. We do not schedule workshops with individuals or groups who don't know each other.

We spent an amazing afternoon with Victor who clearly has a passion for perfume. It was a group of four 18-20 year olds who are very into fragrance. Spent about four hours at his store in Marathon and were transported to France! They learned about the chemistry and building blocks of fragrance, sampling scents then compiling a bespoke custom scent. They got to do all of the measuring themselves with Victor’s guidance. They left with a decent sized vial of their creation. Victor will keep their custom fragrances on file and if they wish to tweak it at a later date they can. I highly recommend this experience!
